30/70%
Fluorocarbon liquid wax for racing. Use for all type of snow with temperature from -22°C to -8°C. Air humidity from 30% to 70%. Excellent as accelerant and corrector at the start on fluorocarbon powder wax or on fluorinated paraffin. Recommended cold application with merino wool rollers.
GENERAL FEATURES
The application of hydrocarbon paraffin (Med or Soft Racing Base or BP1), of fluorinated hydrocarbon paraffin (LP2 or HP3) and fluorocarbon wax FP4 allows certain overlaps according to the following chemical combinations:
- Hydrocarbon paraffin alone (Med or Soft Racing Base or BP1) or mixed with other hydrocarbon paraffin;
- Fluorinated hydrocarbon paraffin alone (LP2 or HP3) or mixed with other hydrocarbon paraffin;
- Fluorocarbon wax FP4 alone or mixed with other fluorocarbon wax, but anyway over a fluorinated hydrocarbon paraffin (LP2 or HP3).
The direction of waxing operations must be from the tip to the tail of the ski base.
The race waxing can be carried out hot or cold, depending on the physical condition of products and the experience of the skiman.
COLD APPLICATION PROCEDURE WITH MERINO WOOL ROLLERS
- Spray the wax on the 5mm. or 10mm. merino wool roller with at least 10 shots while it is slowly rotating on the drill; (the roller choice depends on the friction that's necessary generating)
- Then, roll the ski base surface from tip to tail with movement forward and backward at a drill speed between 1000 and 1500 rpm, according to the pressure applied. It's necessary rolling until complete saturation of the ski base. Repeat the application 2 times by dividing the ski base into two parts;
- Wait at least 15 minutes for the ski wax to harden;
- Brush the ski base with movement forward and backward by pressing with a manual hard horsehair brush;
- Brush and polish the ski base with a manual or a roto soft horsehair or nylon brush;
- Polish the ski base with a 10 mm. merino wool roller. (use a roller different from that of application)
COLD APPLICATION PROCEDURE WITH MANUAL CORK AND MANUAL BRUSH
- Spray the wax to cover roughly 15 cm. of the ski base with at least two shots each 5 cm.;
- Spread the wax on the ski base by rubbing and pressing with the manual cork (useful the brush cork/nylon MT0111) and repeat the same procedure on the whole ski base.
- Wait at least 15 minutes for the ski wax to harden;
- Brush the ski base with movement forward and backward by pressing with a manual hard horsehair brush;
- Polish the ski base with a manual soft horsehair or nylon brush;
HOT APPLICATION PROCEDURE WITH THE AIR HEATER GUN
- Spray the wax to cover roughly 15 cm. of the ski base with at least two shots each 5 cm.;
- Spread the wax on the ski base by rubbing and pressing with the manual cork (useful the brush cork/nylon MT0111) and repeat the same procedure on the whole ski base.
- Melt the wax by passing the Air Heater Gun (KZ07000) from the tip to the tail at the air temperature of 500°C.;
- Remove the melted wax with a rigid brush (useful the brush cork/nylon MT0111) then melt it again as above mentioned;
- Then, roll the ski base surface with a cork or a polyester roller at a drill speed between 1000 and 1500 rpm, according to the pressure applied;
- Wait at least 15 minutes for the ski wax to harden and the ski base to cool down;
- Brush the ski base with a manual or a roto hard horsehair brush;
- Brush and polish the ski base with a manual or a roto soft horsehair or nylon brush;
- Polish the ski base with a 10 mm. merino wool roller.
It is recommended to use the facial mask with the cartridge filter to avoid breathing the vapors of fluorocarbons.
